About Storyville Pictures, LLC

In 1998, Brent Jaimes left the practice of law, burned his business suit and began a career in film and video production.  He owns Storyville Pictures, LLC a film and video production company and is a writer and director of documentary and narrative films.  Storyville Pictures has also produced several commercial and promotional video and cd rom projects.  Storyville Pictures strives to create thought provoking film and video on a variety of cultural, social and historical issues.

Brent directed and produced the short documentary series, "POINTS OF VIEW" which was selected Best of Show at the Missouri Video Festival.  His 1999 documentary, “WOLVES AND MAN” screened at the Angel Citi Film Festival in Los Angeles and at the Green Reel Film Festival also in LA.  It is distributed by the University of California at Berkeley.  “GRAFFITI LIMBO”, a documentary that examines the world of graffiti and public art, aired on the Discovery Channel and is distributed internationally by TVF International.  Brent directed and edited "SMITH HARDWARE: Help is just around the corner" about a family run hardware store that was a fixture in its neighborhood for 72 years.  The program was screened at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase and aired locally on PBS in 2003.  Most recently, Brent completed a documentary that looks back at the 1950  United States men's soccer teams' World Cup upset victory over England .  Storyville Pictures is also in production on a multi-part show about the care and maintenance of stringed instruments for dhtv and distributed by Contemporary Arts Media.  Most recently, his short film "KICK" was selected to be screened at the St. Louis International Film Festival.

Brent has written feature film scripts as well as articles for the Cyber Film School website and the Association of American Independent Film Producers site and has  taught film theory at National Louis University   He received his law degree from Washington University School of Law in  St. Louis and practiced labor and employment law for several years.
